High School Thanksgiving Camp Girls 2019
This year, our high school girl groups made the best of this Thanksgiving break by using the time to spend it with their peers in a spiritual and religious environment. Not only did the girls come together with their friends to spend the thanksgiving weekend with one another, but they also spent it reading Quran, reading stories about Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.), and having though provoking and religious discussions about representing Islam in today’s world and the importance of Praying five times a day. It is imperative for all of us to take moment such as the ones that the girls took this weekend. As we discussed together, it is very easy for the youth to loose their confidence in their muslim identity whilst living in America; however, making the time to have programs like this allows everyone to build on their faith and strengthen their iman. A fun way that the girls built their confidence in their religion this past two days were by educating themselves more about the life of prophet Muhammad. At the last day of our program, we ended it off with a jeopardy-style game where the winning group receives a gift card to celebrate their victory. Overall, everyone who joined this years thanksgiving program had a wonderful time where they built on their faith, and we thank the girls for joining this year and making the best of their time during the break.
