Exploring our academic interest in Philadelphia’s colleges, yet enjoying what the city offers
Youth Island’s next destination for college trips was Philadelphia, home of great institutions. High schoolers had the chance to know several Philadelphia institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University, Temple University, and Drexel University. With the help of students in these institutions, our mentees had the chance to learn more about campus life, academic offerings, and other scholarships and opportunity programs. Besides the academic life, students were able to see Philadelphia and its surroundings by engaging in some activities during that day.
By seeing various institutions, enjoying the city’s life, and engaging in various activities, high schoolers had a clearer picture of Philly’s opportunities.
