Food banks play a fundamental role in charity communities; they are non-profit organizations that provide those who are in need of common necessities such as groceries, clothing, and cleaning products.
On their visit to the local Long Island food bank, named Pronto, our Youth Island NY high school volunteers had a chance to see how food banks work while helping out with the daily processes like organizing aid packages, stocking/restocking the supplies, and keeping the order and cleanliness of the environment.
