Youth Island NY hosted its 2nd annual Iftar on April 6th!
160+ college students gathered for an iftar in celebration of Ramadan to make this night an unforgettable one! This Iftar was a beautiful display of community, as students from all walks of life came together to break their fast and share a meal. The room was filled with excitement as the students got to network and know each other before indulging in a feast of traditional Ramadan dishes. The event was made even more special with our guest speaker Semra Demir who gave a talk on the importance of Ramadan and the values of compassion and forgiveness that it embodies.
